Ebon Upton, the creator of Raspberry Pi and a fellow Amiga enthusiast, recently reached out to me to participate in an exciting project: a book designed to teach coding using the same methods that were popular in the past. The majority of today’s lead coders are from a generation that learned coding in this way, and this book aims to revive those methods.

This visually stunning 224-page hardback book tells the stories of some of the seminal video games of the 1970s and 1980s, and shows readers how to create their own games inspired by them using Python and Pygame Zero, with examples programmed by Ebon Upton himself. As part of the project, I was responsible for creating the music and sounds for each game included in the book.
