Driver, my first title for the Playstation One, presented a unique challenge. Because the game used the CD to stream graphics, all in-game music had to be created in the Amiga style, using a tracker player for real-time samples and notes.
Despite the challenge, Driver went on to become a massive success, selling millions of copies worldwide, with the music gaining a strong following among retro gamers. Recently, I remixed the original tracks to improve their sound quality on modern hi-fi speakers.
